BUILDING A CULTURE TO PUBLISH QUALITY RESEARCH IN PHARMACY

Pharmacist’s role in the healthcare system is constantly transforming with more focus on patient care and safety. The need for innovation and updating current practice has increased the scope of quality research by pharmacist. Numerous studies have identified barriers to carry out innovative research. They have also recognized effective ways to improve the study quality and engage pharmacist to publish completed research. This presentation highlights the challenges to initiate quality research and the key strategies to improve innovative thinking. The presentation also illustrates with examples, the process formulating a research question to getting the research published in a peer- review journal. Following this presentation, delegates should have a deeper understanding to generate ideas, initiate research and to publish high quality articles.
