Dr.AbdulkhaliqJassemAlsalman is a vice dean and an assistant professor at College of Pharmacy at Northern Border University. He has completed his Bachelors in Pharmacy from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He then graduated with his Master and PhD degrees in Pharmacotherapy and Outcome Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)- School of Pharmacy and completed a patient safety fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia Health System at Richmond, Virginia in the United State of America. He also finished postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University- and an executive patient safety Fellowship at the School of Medicine Prior to going to VCU; he worked as hospital pharmacist in National Guard Hospital, Alahsa.

He has over 8 years’ experience in research, clinical practice and teaching in pharmacy, internal medicine and pain management pharmacotherapy.

Dr.Alsalman has published several abstracts, manuscripts and a book chapter and has been awarded three international awards at the following conferences: at the 31st annual Scientific Meeting of the American Pain Society2012, at the 29th annual Scientific Meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine 2013 and at the 18th annual scientific meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 2013.
His research and practice interests include pain management pharmacotherapy, medication-taking behaviours, addiction studies, sickle cell anaemia, mixed method research, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), scale development and psychometric evaluation, large data analysis, and pharmacoepidemiological studies
