Hanan Al Lawati

Biography

Hanan Al Lawati is an academic faculty member at the Oman College of Health
Sciences in the Pharmacy Program. She has completed her PhD studies in 2019 at
the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the University of Alberta,
Edmonton, Canada. Hanan’s research has been very well received by the scientific
community in Canada and has helped her, win several research funding awards
(including Mike Wolowyk graduate award, Dr Leonard Wiebe graduate award,
Pharmacy PhD Alumni graduate award, Dr. Ronald Micetich Memorial graduate
award, and Shoppers drug mart graduate award). Her research has also been
recognized in Oman, and she has recently received “The Research Council (TRC)’s,
National Research Awards (NRA 2019) for the Young Researcher’s Category (Health
and Social Service Sector). Hanan has also received the Oman ambassador award
(OAS award) for outstanding academic achievements at the PhD level, 2019. Hanan
has authored eight peer-reviewed articles and has delivered several posters and
oral presentations at international conferences
