We cordially welcome you to the 10th Pharmaceutical Care Conference & Exhibition which will take place from 2 – 4 February 2020, at the Oman Convention Exhibition Centre (OCEC), the most versatile convention and exhibition facility in beautiful downtown Muscat.
This conference is the perfect blend of learning and networking and I am extremely pleased you could join us once again. This global meeting will assemble a group of world leaders in the expanding pharmacy practice fields. The program includes keynote presentations, lectures, interactive workshops, poster presentations and exhibitions, continuing with our theme “Professional Excellence in Pharmacy Practice”. This year, we’ve included a variety of topics from a broad spectrum of specialties, with a focus on the sustainable development of pharmacy practice throughout the region. I hope this premise will inspire all of us to sharpen our vision and achieve our individual goals, while further enabling you to discuss critical issues related to your practice developments. I also hope you gain an insight into novel, cutting-edge research and technologies from brilliant experts, exuberant researchers, and talented student communities.
Dear colleagues, it’s our pleasure to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our conference this year, during which we hope to exhibit our success and achievements over the last decade. However, I know that you are already working towards developing new initiatives for the following 10 years to ensure innovation and growth, devoted to meeting the changing needs of national and international pharmacy practices.
The 10th Pharmaceutical Care Conference is now on its first year of collaboration with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), which ensures greater access to well-regarded experts and global contemporary practice topics. The conference is also supported by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the World Health Organization (WHO),the International medication Safety Network (IMSN) and the Institute of Safe Medications Practices (ISMP) USA and Canada and the Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE). This conference will be accredited by the American Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACCPE) for pharmacists and physicians (ACCME) as well as the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB).
Based on its previous successes, the 10th Pharmaceutical Care Conference will attract over 1,000 healthcare professionals including, but not limited to, pharmacists, assistant pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and students from around the globe.
There will be special sessions on prime interests, including:
- Countries initiatives to meet the WHO 3rd Global Patient Safety Challenge: Medications Without Harm.
- Advances in research and reshaping the future of healthcare.
- Changing the landscape & innovation in pharmacy practice.
- Evolution of pharmaceutical care in community pharmacy.
We expect these topics to add exceptional value to our conference program, in addition to the other variety of on-trend health care topics to be disseminated by healthcare leaders in this conference.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank all individuals, organisations and government agencies for their unwavering support to our organisation in making this event successful.
